FPEAK collaborates with sister associations in the region to standardize G.A.P based on simplification and training of GLOBAL G.A.P.


Is the industry code of practice binding all growers which ensure compliance to G.A.P. and ethical practice. Kenya-GAP is benchmarked to Global G.A.P and recognized by the Kenya Bureau of Standards (KEBS) thus acquiring international legitimacy. Compliance with Kenya- GAP earns the farm a GLOBALG.A.P. certificate. As the standard owner, FPEAK prepares its members for third-party certification which is done by accredited certification bodies.

Kenya -GAP International is a certification scheme which adheres to international standards on food safety, social and environmental responsibility.

Kenya -GAP Domestic targets producers for the local market and those new to GAP compliance. It is a stepping stone to full certification. Growers can get their certification as individuals (option 1) and in groups (option 2).

Growers can get certification for their farms in 4 easy steps:

  1. Register with FPEAK by filling a registration form, giving details of the farm
  2. Grower undertakes the necessary training.
  3. FPEAK undertakes a baseline audit of the growers enterprise.
  4. FPEAK undertakes a pre-audit and final audit and attains ‘certified’ status.
